Η διαχρονική γιορτή του σινεμά πλησιάζει, φέρνοντας για ακόμη μια χρονιά κοντά τους ανθρώπους της παγκόσμιας σκηνής του κινηματογράφου. Η φετινή τελετή των βραβείων Oscar θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή, 12 Μαρτίου 2023 και θα μεταδοθεί σε απευθείας σύνδεση από το ABC. Πριν δύο χρόνια, ως αποτέλεσμα της πανδημίας, η διοργάνωση έλαβε χώρα στον σταθμό Union Station στο κέντρο του Λος Άντζελες, ώστε να διευκολύνει την πρόσβαση σε άτομα με ειδικές ανάγκες. Πέρυσι, επέστρεψε στην έδρα της από το 2002: το Dolby Theatre στο Hollywood & Highland Center. Η εκδήλωση του 2023 θα πραγματοποιηθεί στον ίδιο χώρο, ο οποίος έχει έκτοτε μετονομαστεί σε Ovation Hollywood. Αυτή τη φορά, τη σκυτάλη της παρουσίασης θα πάρει o Αμερικανός τηλεπαρουσιαστής, κωμικός, παραγωγός, σεναριογράφος και ηθοποιός φωνής, Jimmy Kimmel. Ο ίδιος ανέφερε σε δήλωση, η οποία συνόδευσε την επίσημη ανακοίνωση στις 7 Νοεμβρίου 2022: «Το να προσκληθώ να παρουσιάσω τα Όσκαρ για τρίτη φορά είναι είτε μεγάλη τιμή είτε παγίδα. Ο Bill Kramer, ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Ακαδημίας Κινηματογραφικών Τεχνών και Επιστημών, ο οποίος πρόσθεσε: «Δεσμευόμαστε να έχουμε ένα show, το οποίο να εξυμνεί τους καλλιτέχνες, τις τέχνες και τις επιστήμες και τη συνεργατική φύση της κινηματογραφικής δημιουργίας. Αυτή είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό η αποστολή της Ακαδημίας, και είμαι πολύ αισιόδοξος ότι μπορούμε να κάνουμε ένα show που θα εξυμνεί όλα τα στοιχεία της κινηματογραφικής παραγωγής με έναν διασκεδαστικό και ελκυστικό τρόπο.» 

Μια νεοσύστατη ομάδα κρίσης θα βρίσκεται στο κατάστρωμα σε περίπτωση οποιουδήποτε λάθους και πιθανού ατυχούς περιστατικού κατά τη μετάδοση. Οι Ricky Kirshner και Glenn Weiss της White Cherry Entertainment θα είναι παραγωγοί της εκπομπής, με τον Don Weiss να αναλαμβάνει τη σκηνοθεσία για όγδοη συνεχή χρονιά. Τώρα που επανήλθαν οι πλήρεις κατηγορίες, αναμένουμε ότι το τηλεοπτικό show θα διαρκέσει λίγο περισσότερο.

The predictions

Αρκετά είναι τα ονόματα των ηθοποιών για την κατάκτηση της πρώτης θέσης και του Α' γυναικείου και ανδρικού, αντίστοιχα, ρόλου. Ο Brendan Fraser ξεχωρίζει για ακόμη μια φορά για τον πρωταγωνιστικό του ρόλο στην ταινία "The Whale". Aκολουθεί ο Austin Butler, ο οποίος επίσης διακρίθηκε στις Χρυσές Σφαίρες και στα BAFTAS για την ενσάρκωση του Prisley.
