Καθώς βρισκόμαστε εν αναμονή των τελικών μεγάλων υποψηφιοτήτων των Oscars για τη φετινή χρονιά, η Ακαδημία ανακοίνωσε 10 shortlists, οι οποίες μας βάζουν στο κλίμα των κορυφαίων κινηματογραφικών βραβείων. Σε αυτό το σημείο αξίζει να αναφέρουμε ότι λεγόμενες "shortlists" είναι οι λίστες που μας ενημερώνουν για τις υποψηφιότητες που ξεχωρίζουν και φτάνουν μία «ανάσα» πριν τα Oscars.

Οι κατηγορίες είναι οι εξής: Ντοκιμαντέρ, ντοκιμαντέρ μικρού μήκους, ξενόγλωσση συμμετοχή, μακιγιάζ, soundtrack, κινουμένων σχεδίων μικρού μήκους, live-action μικρού μήκους, ήχος και οπτικά εφέ.

Επίσης, να αναφέρουμε ότι δυστυχώς τα «Μαγνητικά Πεδία» του Γιώργου Γούση, που αποτελούσαν την επίσημη πρόταση της Ελλάδας στην κατηγορία Διεθνούς Ταινίας, δεν πέρασαν στο προτελευταίο στάδιο της λίστας των επικρατέστερων ταινιών για τα βραβεία. Ανάμεσα στα films που προκρίθηκαν είναι τα «Everything Everywhere All At Once» και «RRR», ενώ οι Rihanna και Taylor Swift είναι μεταξύ των ερμηνευτών που διαγωνίζονται για βραβείο.

Επιπλέον, η γερμανική ταινία του Netflix «All Quiet on the Western Front» επιλέχθηκε σε 5 κατηγορίες, της διεθνής ταινίας, του hair and make up, του ήχου, των οπτικών εφέ και της πρωτότυπης μουσικής, ισοβαθμώντας έτσι το film της Marvel, «Black Panther: Wakanda Forever». Οι υπόλοιπες 9 κατηγορίες έχουν αρκετές εκπλήξεις αλλά και ονόματα και ταινίες που όλοι περίμεναν. Στην κατηγορία των οπτικών εφέ περιλαμβάνονται οι «Avatar: The Way of Water» και «Top Gun: Maverick», ενώ στα ντοκιμαντέρ, τα εξής: «All the Beauty and the Bloodshed», «Descendant», «The Janes».

Good to know: Η ψηφοφορία για τις υποψηφιότητες θα πραγματοποιηθεί μεταξύ 12 Ιανουαρίου και 17 Ιανουαρίου 2023. Οι υποψηφιότητες θα ανακοινωθούν στις 24 Ιανουαρίου 2023, με την τελική ψηφοφορία μεταξύ 2 Μαρτίου και 7 Μαρτίου 2023. Η 95η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Dolby Theater στις 12 Μαρτίου του 2022 και θα μεταδοθεί από το ABC.
